Emmanuel Austin hit 6 of 8 free throws in overtime Tuesday to lead Legacy’s boys basketball team to a 77-75 home victory over Cheyenne.
Rayshon Funches converted the go-ahead basket with 32 seconds left in the fourth quarter, and teammate Emmanuel Austin added a free throw on the ensuing possession to help Legacy secure a 57-54 victory over Democracy Prep in the tournament championship on Saturday night.
Legacy built a comfortable halftime lead and cruised to a 60-28 victory despite missing a bevy of layups.

Ka’Mari Kelly led all scorers with 22 points, and Western’s boys basketball team held off Pahrump Valley for a 56-51 home victory on Tuesday night.
Ishon Hardin led all scorers with 25 points to help Centennial’s boys basketball team rally for a 57-55 home win over Cimarron-Memorial on Friday.
LeAndre McIntyre had 30 points to lead Durango’s boys basketball team to a 91-69 home win over Sierra Vista on Tuesday.
Brian Washington scored 27 points, including the game-winning layup, to lift Cimarron-Memorial’s boys basketball team to a 50-48 road win at Shadow Ridge on Thursday night.
Najeeb Muhammad scored 22 points — including 12 points in the third quarter — to lead Democracy Prep to a 56-53 win over Cimarron-Memorial in the championship game of the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.
Democracy Prep rallied from an early 13-point deficit against Arbor View, and made all the key plays down the stretch to squeak out a 66-64 victory in the quarterfinals of the Legacy Tip-Off Classic at Legacy High on Friday.
The Longhorns embarked on a 13-4 run across the third and fourth quarters, and executed their zone offense in the final minutes to secure a 66-60 victory over Lutheran in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic on Thursday night.
