Pat Hayden, Charles Hurley, Ray Mathis, Todd Liebenstein, Bill Casey, Darwin Rost, Jerry Huston, Florindo Mariani and William McGee were named to the 25th class of the Hall of Fame for the NIAA.

It’s the unofficial halfway point of the prep football season, and that means it’s time to give out the Fieldies.
Sure enough, league play in the Class 4A Sunset Region and Class 3A starts this week, the true indicator that summer is done. Even Bishop Gorman is taking a break from irking out-of-state fanbases to play a Southwest League contest against Bonanza. (I didn’t include that game in my picks, but, spoiler alert, Gorman is going to win.)
Centennial’s Savon Scarver entered the season projected to be one of the area’s top playmakers and hasn’t disappointed through the first two games,attracting the attention of a handful of Mountain West schools in the process.
