Drew Warnick shot an even-par 72 at Highland Falls on Thursday to lead Palo Verde’s boys golf team to victory in a Northwest League match.
Aarjav Patel carded an even-par 72 at Spanish Trail on Tuesday to earn medalist honors and help Bishop Gorman’s boys golf team win a Southwest League match.
The Bulldogs shot 325 Tuesday to build on their five-stroke lead and win the Class 4A state tournament at Dayton Valley Golf Course by nine strokes.
After the first day of the region tournaments, Faith Lutheran (Mountain Region), Clark (Desert Region) and Pahrump Valley (Class 3A Southern Region) all hold a lead going into the final day.
Victoria Estrada shot a 4-over-par 40 on the front nine at Revere on Monday to help Coronado’s girls golf team to victory in a Southeast League match.
Gracie Olkowski carded a 3-under-par 69 at Palm Valley on Thursday, earning medalist honors and leading Faith Lutheran’s girls golf team to victory in a Northwest League match.
Roycee Southerland carded a 5-over-par 77 at Siena on Wednesday to finish second individually and help Bishop Gorman’s girls golf team win a Southwest League match.
Coronado’s boys golf shot a two-day total of 23-over-par 599 as a team to win the Class 4A state golf tournament at Reflection Bay Golf Club on Tuesday. It was the Cougars’ first title since 2012, and Coronado players celebrated by jumping into Lake Las Vegas.
Arbor View’s Cameron Gambini shot a 6-under-par 66 at Paiute on Wednesday to earn medalist honors in a Northwest League match.
Entering the day eight strokes back of the leader, Faith Lutheran senior Sydney Smith shot 7-under-par 65 Tuesday to finish 2-under-par 142 for the tournament and win the Class 4A state title at Highland Falls.
A trio of freshmen concluded the opening round of the Class 4A state golf tournament at Highland Falls in the top 10, and will look to play spoiler against a sea of experienced golfers at the same 5,579-yard course on Tuesday.
Palo Verde senior Annick Haczkiewicz birdied four of the last nine holes, including 16 and 17, on Tuesday afternoon to pull away from Clark freshman Riana Mission and win her third Class 4A Sunset Region individual title.
Palo Verde and Coronado’s girls golf teams braved the windy conditions Monday afternoon to take leads in the Class 4A Sunset and Sunrise Region tournaments at Boulder City Municipal.
