Hailey Carroll had 21 assists and 15 kills, and teammate Kyrie Lorfing supplied 23 assists, 10 kills and three aces to lead Faith Lutheran’s girls volleyball team to a 21-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-20 home win over Centennial on Wednesday.
Madison Martinez-Hutchinson had 16 assists and 10 digs, and Breanna Onori recorded 11 assists, eight digs and seven aces as Green Valley’s volleyball team rallied for an 18-25, 18-25, 25-11, 25-19, 15-8 home win over Legacy on Tuesday night.
Palo Verde left with a lot of hardware and a lot of confidence after defeating Bishop Alemany (Calif.), the defending tournament champion, 25-19, 25-23 to claim the Gold Bracket title at Foothill. Durango’s girls volleyball team picked up its first big win of the season, claiming the title of the Gator Classic with a 25-21, 25-20, 25-18 victory over host Green Valley in the championship game on Saturday.

Austin Anderson had 20 kills and seven digs on Wednesday to lead the Centennial boys volleyball team to a 25-20, 25-27, 25-14, 20-25, 15-11 victory over host Cimarron-Memorial.
Tai Foster had nine kills and 26 digs Monday to lead Durango’s boys volleyball team to a 23-25, 25-11, 18-25, 25-19, 15-11 road victory over Bishop Gorman.
Croix Reganit had 16 kills, 10 digs and one assist Thursday to lead Sierra Vista’s boys volleyball team to a road win at Bishop Gorman, 22-25, 25-16, 13-25, 25-21, 15-13.
Stephen Banks had 20 kills and 10 digs Wednesday as Palo Verde’s boys volleyball team edged host Arbor View, 25-18, 17-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-9.
Juan Benitez had 16 kills and 21 assists on Monday to lead Chaparral’s boys volleyball team to a 28-30, 25-13, 19-25, 25-12, 15-5 victory over visiting Boulder City.
Sam Belnap had 38 assists and 14 digs to power Arbor View’s boys volleyball team to a 25-16, 25-18, 25-27, 25-16 win over visiting Bishop Gorman.
Jared Brady had 18 kills as Palo Verde’s boys volleyball team rallied for a 21-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-12 road victory over the Cimarron-Memorial on Tuesday night.
Frank Hines had 10 kills, four aces, 11 digs and three blocks as Sierra Vista’s boys volleyball team rallied past Bonanza for a 25-21, 11-25, 20-25, 25-16, 18-16 road win Thursday night.
