Makena Martin hit a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday to complete Palo Verde’s rally and help the Panthers’ softball team beat visiting Faith Lutheran, 5-4.
Sarah Aguilar pitched a shutout to lead Bishop Gorman’s softball team to a 3-0 win over Savanna (California) in the Savanna Tournament on Thursday afternoon past the Rebels.
Morgan Matsumoto drove in three runs, and Jocelyn Shupp went 3-for-4 and scored three runs to help the Foothill’s softball team to a 13-11 road win over Silverado on Thursday evening.
Sierra Rivera’s RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday lifted Del Sol’s softball team past the visiting Mojave, 15-14.
