The junior tossed a two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts as Basic trounced Sierra Vista 11-0 on Thursday in the losers bracket final of the Desert Region Tournament.
Deanna Barrera smacked a single up the middle to score Ashlyn Heck from second base in the bottom of the seventh, capping a three-run seventh-inning rally as the host Bulldogs edged Shadow Ridge, 3-2 in the Mountain Region Tournament.
Basic’s junior pitcher was in control from the start, tossing a six-hitter and striking out 10 to help the Wolves to a 7-1 home win over Liberty in the winners’ bracket semifinals of the Desert Region Tournament.
Winning pitcher Brooke Detommaso went 3-for-4 with a double and six RBIs on Friday to help Bonanza’s softball team to a 19-7, six-inning victory at Las Vegas High.
Skyler Lauver went 5-for-5 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs on Monday to lead Pahrump Valley’s softball team to a 10-8 win at Moapa Valley.
Kalsey Kekahuna-Lopes went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs on Wednesday to lead host Faith Lutheran’s softball team to an 8-3 win over Cheyenne.
Allyson Rily was 2-for-2 with a double, a home run and three RBIs on Monday to lead Pahrump Valley to a 14-10 softball win over visiting Boulder City.
Boulder City’s Lily Osman was 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs, three runs and a home run, as the host Eagles outslugged Moapa Valley to win 12-8 and move on to the Class 3A Southern Region final.
Bailey Bennett-Jordan tossed a complete game and went 2-for-3 with a home run as Boulder City topped visiting Pahrump Valley, 15-3 in the Class 3A Southern Region second round on Wednesday.
Ysabella Morales went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBIs Tuesday to help host Mojave’s softball team to a 7-4 win over Virgin Valley in the opening round of the Class 3A Southern Region tournament.
Western’s Alexa Camacho was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs Thursday as the visiting Warriors held on to beat Desert Pines, 13-11.
Sara Riley was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Bonanza’s softball team held on for an 8-4 road victory over Las Vegas High on Wednesday afternoon.
Kylie Sharapan was 2-for-4 with a double, a run and five RBIs as Cimarron-Memorial’s softball team edged visiting Silverado on Monday, 13-12.
