Here are the 2018 softball honors, as selected by the coaches.
Mikayla Berg was 2-for-2 with a three-run home run, and Basic’s softball team scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to get past visiting Silverado on Thursday, 11-9.
Makena Martin hit a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday to complete Palo Verde’s rally and help the Panthers’ softball team beat visiting Faith Lutheran, 5-4.
Durango pitcher Madison Boyce tossed a complete game and supplied two hits and two RBIs as the Trailblazers’ softball team claimed an 8-5 road victory at Bonanza on Wednesday.
Chryshelle Abril-Ryan and Brianna Villarreal each homered for Spring Valley’s softball team Thursday as the Grizzlies rallied to beat visiting Bonanza, 8-7.
