As the Strip got back to its usual bumper-to-bumper traffic, resort executives said Formula One’s Las Vegas Grand Prix went better than they had hoped.
The drop in demand forced a gas station to lay off four people on Oct. 19, cut hours for others and reduced the number of people on schedule at a time.
More than a year before the Las Vegas Grand Prix, some hotel operators have already started charging hundreds of dollars more than a typical weekend fare.
