UNLV will need to win the Mountain West baseball tournament to advance to a regional for the second year in a row. The Rebels needed to win at least two of three from first-place San Diego State this weekend, but the Aztecs clinched the series with a 7-6 victory Saturday.
The 7-5 loss was a tough one for UNLV, which needs to win the series against San Diego State, the first-place team in the Mountain West, to have a realistic chance to establish some momentum in what has been a disappointing start to the season.
