The Rebels are experienced at linebacker, where the starters and reserves return. They will be counted on to help improve a defense that allowed 38.5 points and 513.5 yards per game last season.

UNLV will send seven swimmers to the nationals in Iowa City this weekend. That’s just part of the goal, says coach Jim Reitz, whose teams have won 10 league titles in the past 11 years. He tells them: “Let’s go faster than we have ever gone.”
Just when some UNLV football fans are beginning to think they’ve begun to put those losing years behind them, the athletic department has to go and test their loyalty by announcing that some season-ticket holders will have to begin paying a premium for the privilege of watching the new Rebels in action.
