Ashley Ward went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and two RBIs to lead the Coronado’s softball team to a 12-5 win over Torrance (California) at the Tournament of Champions in Bullhead City, Arizona.
Hunter Martin singled to right-center field with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to score Trace Evans and give Basic’s baseball team a 9-8 home win over Coronado on Thursday.

Skylar Gorrell tossed a four-hitter and struck out six Tuesday as Las Vegas High’s softball team handed visiting Rancho its first loss in Division I Sunrise League play, 4-3.
Yvette Sanchez went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, and Tiare Lee added a home run to help Rancho’s softball team to a 6-1 win at Green Valley on Tuesday.
