Civil libertarians raised new concerns Friday over a bill sought by the Nevada Department of Corrections to make all agency records confidential following this week’s revelations that an inmate was shot and killed by a state prison guard four months ago.
Nevada Assemblyman Ira Hansen — who recently gave up his designation as speaker for the 2015 Legislature in an uproar over his comments about women, gays and minorities — has been cleared of charges accusing him of illegal wildlife trapping.
