Coroner IDs Las Vegas woman who died after June crash

A woman struck by a vehicle in the central valley over two months ago died just hours later that day at a Las Vegas hospital.

The Clark County coroner identified the woman as 65-year-old Ruthie Lee Goudy of Las Vegas.

Goudy was walking across Maryland Parkway outside of a marked crosswalk just before noon on June 29 when she was struck by a Dodge Durango traveling south on Maryland Parkway near Vegas Valley Drive, the Metropolitan Police Department said.

Goudy was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center “with a normal heart rate and blood pressure,” police said Tuesday.

About three hours after her arrival at the hospital, Goudy died from her injuries, police said.

Metro’s fatal detail did not respond to the collision and received reports from the coroner’s office on Tuesday.
