Pardee supports HomeAid, Public Education Foundation

Pardee Homes in 2016 continued to build on its legacy of giving back to the Southern Nevada community, with efforts in support of HomeAid Southern Nevada and The Public Education Foundation.

Pardee had been a consistent supporter of the HomeAid Southern Nevada Chapter since its inception a decade ago. The builder established a scholarship fund with The Public Education Foundation to mark its 50th anniversary in Southern Nevada in 2002.

Pardee employees this year served as the builder captain for an extensive renovation of Catholic Charities Men’s Night Shelter at 1511 Las Vegas Blvd. North. The renovation included removing partition walls, patching drywall and flooring and painting the shelter, which houses an average of 500 men each night year-round.

Pardee’s continued support of The Public Education Foundation included $30,000 in scholarships to Southern Nevada high school seniors as part of the Pardee Homes Community Building Scholarship Program.

“Pardee Homes has a 64-year history in Southern Nevada,” said Dan Hale, the homebuilder’s vice president of land and forward planning. “We’re proud to give back to our community through annual scholarships recognizing local high school graduates who plan to pursue majors that are related to the homebuilding industry including construction management, architecture and community development.”

Since Pardee Homes began its scholarship program with The Public Education Foundation, the company has awarded approximately 90 Clark County students more than $400,000, including commitments to current eligible undergrads.

Pardee is Southern Nevada’s longest-established homebuilder and has been recognized as a strong supporter of education and community enhancement with donations of land and equipment for schools and parks.

The builder has 12 new-home neighborhoods in Southern Nevada including Horizon Terrace South in Henderson as well as Escala, Montero, Alterra and Solano in the master-planned Inspirada community in Henderson; Castle Rock and North Peak in Pardee’s Eldorado master-planned community in North Las Vegas; Camino, across from Eldorado; Meridian, Summerglen and Encanto in southwest Las Vegas and Keystone in the master-planned Skye Canyon community in northwest Las Vegas.
