How about fines for those in the country illegally?

If our government refuses to enforce the law by deporting those who are in our country illegally, as was done in the Eisenhower administration, it should at least make them register as illegal aliens. They should also pay a fine for each month they choose to remain here and take advantage of our public services (roads, parks, police, fire, schools, etc.) in violation of the law.
