Shooting at North Las Vegas Walmart leaves 1 in critical condition

A man shot Saturday morning in a North Las Vegas Walmart parking lot was hospitalized in critical condition.

Police were called about 7:30 a.m. to the supercenter on North Decatur Boulevard, near the 215 Beltway. North Las Vegas police spokesman Aaron Patty said the man was shot after an argument escalated outside the Walmart.

It’s unknown how many times the man was shot, but he was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit in critical condition. Police believe the two men knew each other, Patty said.

A suspected shooter was taken into custody at the scene, and there were no other reported injuries.
