School bus crash sends truck through brick wall; no students hurt

No students were injured when their school bus was involved in a crash Monday morning that sent a pickup truck into a driveway wall and two parked cars.

The bus crashed into the pickup in the intersection of Carl Avenue and Saylor Way, near Jones and Lake Mead boulevards, at 8:42 a.m.

Then the pickup crashed into a vehicle parked in the driveway of a nearby home, continuing through a brick wall dividing two homes and into a second vehicle in the neighboring driveway, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.

Five elementary school students were on the school bus.

The female driver of the pickup was also uninjured, Meltzer said.

Meltzer said a driver will be cited but it was unclear Monday night which one police considered at fault.
