Las Vegas police looking for suspect in shooting, robbery

Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who shot a Subway sandwich shop employee during an armed robbery.

On June 10 about 2:30 p.m., the man entered the Subway at 8790 Maryland Parkway, near Pebble Road, with a handgun. He went behind the counter to a back room where he demanded money from two employees, police said.

A struggle ensued and the robber shot one of the employees several times in the upper body and face, inflicting life-threatening injuries, police said.

The robber fled and was last seen running from the store to the rear of the business.

Police described the robber as a black man about 25 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 145 pounds.
