Infant’s death was accidental, Clark County coroner says

An infant who died in late April accidentally suffocated, the Clark County coroner’s office said Wednesday morning.

Aliyah Shlade was 1 month and 29 days old when her father found her dead in her bed on April 23.

Metro’s abuse and neglect unit was called to the 3700 block of Arville Street, near Twain Avenue, to investigate Aliyah’s death, a routine procedure for all infant deaths.

The parents have not been identified.
