Thursday could bring record high temp to Las Vegas

Las Vegas temperatures will continue to climb into the 70s this week, according to National Weather Service.

Temperatures will reach the mid-60s until Thursday, when the forecast high could break the record of 74 degrees, Weather Service meteorologist Mike Paddock said Tuesday afternoon.

Lows will be in the high-30s to low-40s, Paddock added.

There's a slight chance of precipitation Thursday evening which could bring an inch of snow to the mountains.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
