Teen pedestrian in critical condition after northwest valley crash

A teenager is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in the northwest valley, Las Vegas police said.

Police responded to the Craig Road and Pioneer Way scene — near Craig and Tenaya Way — just after 6 p.m., said Metro Lt. Jeff Goodwin. The youth, described only as an "older teen" was transported to a hospital and the driver remained on scene.

The teen was in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, Goodwin said about 8:45 p.m.

Metro's fatal crash detail is still investigating.
