California man killed in boat propeller accident identified

A man killed on Lake Mohave over the weekend when a boat backed over him has been identified.

Charles Estrada, 51, of Mission Viejo, Calif., died of multiple sharp force injuries from boat propeller blades, said the medical examiner's office in Mohave County, Ariz.

Estrada was pronounced dead at 12:15 p.m. Saturday near Cactus Cove, where the accident happened, about 90 miles south of Las Vegas in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. A woman driving the boat intended to pull forward but went in reverse instead, the National Park Service said.

The Nevada Department of Wildlife also responded. The death was labeled an accident, but it's still being investigated.
