Coroner releases causes of death in couple’s murder-suicide

The Clark County coroner’s office has released the causes of death for the man and woman found dead Wednesday in what Las VEgas police said was a murder-suicide.

Clyde Earl Ray, 84, died of a gunshot wound to the head. The coroner’s office ruled his death a suicide. His wife, Mary Carol Ray, 81, also died of a gunshot wound to the head. Her death was ruled a homicide.

The two were found about 6 p.m. Wednesday when Las Vegas police were called to the 1900 block of Firebird Drive, near Cheyenne and Rampart Boulevard.
