Pedestrian critical after Thursday night hit-and-run

A man was in critical condition Friday after being struck by a vehicle in the southeast valley the night before, according to Las Vegas police.
The pedestrian was crossing Maryland Parkway near Oakey Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, police said. The car, headed south on Maryland, didn’t stop.
The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
This crash remains under investigation.
