In response to your Aug. 5 front-page story, “Court voids RJ pact with Sun”: This opens the door for a big improvement. As a 36-year Review-Journal subscriber, I have tolerated the so-called newspaper insert that is just a collection of articles and stories from other newspapers and has nearly zero local news, no obituaries, no advertisements, etc. It’s way past time for the Review-Journal to stop supporting the Las Vegas Sun.
The U.S. military and/or the National Guard should not police the streets of America. There is a better and immediate alternative.
In my company, like so many others, all my employees get paid first and before I get paid. It would appear this is not true for the federal government.

Here they go again. Gov. Joe Lombardo has announced a legislative special session and the unions immediately started beating the drum for massive tax incentives for the TV and film industry.
Once again the main issue is lost as Congress bumbles about when it comes to funding the federal government.
I recently went to the Mandalay Bay to watch the amazing Las Vegas Aces play. The parking fees were outrageous.

Although our illustrious leaders (tongue in cheek) believe that breaking everything down into little categories keeps us from knowing how they nickel-and-dime us to death, it doesn’t elude us.
