Cadillac passenger shot in northwest valley street

After being shot multiples times in the back Monday evening, a man managed to crawl across the street to a northwest valley pharmacy and call for help, Las Vegas police said.

The shooting was reported just after 8 p.m., near Lake Mead Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive. According to police, a Cadillac was driving north on Torrey Pines when it stopped and made a U-turn.

Five people got out of the car and one of them shot another, Lt. Dave Valenta said. Then the group got back in the car and drove away, leaving the wounded man in the street.

The man, who Valenta said was shot three to five times, crawled to a nearby CVS Pharmacy and called the police. He was taken in critical condition to University Medical Center for surgery.

Gang detectives were investigating the shooting.
