1 injured in shooting near downtown Las Vegas, person in custody

One person is in custody and another injured after a shooting in the central valley Saturday afternoon.

Metro received a call at 1:10 p.m. reporting a shooting at Stewart Avenue and 13th Street, Metro Lt. Jeff Goodwin said. The person shot has nonlife-threatening injuries, he said.

The shooter was taken into custody in the 1600 block of Harris Avenue, near Bruce Street, Goodwin said.

Police could not immediately offer any more details.
