Second storm warning issued for western Clark County

The National Weather Service has announced a second severe thunderstorm warning that could result in gusty winds along U.S. Highway 95, west of Indian Springs.

That warning continues through 1:15 p.m.

A previous warning was issued Tuesday afternoon for parts of Southern Nevada, but Las Vegas probably won’t get hit.

The slow-moving storm is likely to have the biggest impact on Overton and Overton Beach, where damaging winds could gust over 58 miles per hour, according to NWS spokesman Chris Outler.

There are chances the storm, currently 12 miles east of Overton, will reach areas to the east and north of Las Vegas.

The warning expires at 1 p.m.
