Juvenile hit by vehicle in the south valley Saturday evening

A crash Saturday evening in the south valley sent a juvenile to the hospital, according to Las Vegas police.

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a child at about 5:40 p.m. at 3726 Hazelwood St., near East Twain Avenue and Swenson Street, Metro officer Lt. Jeff Goodwin said.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene, he said.

The juvenile was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, Goodwin said.
