The RV road show

The recreational vehicle business involves more than waiting for customers to walk onto a lot and into an office. Because Findlay RV does off-site sales several times annually, dealership General Manager Reuben Figueroa knows this well.

“We are able to do six off-site sales a year,” said Figueroa, a 50-year old Tucson, Ariz., native who has lived in Las Vegas for 20 years. “There is a lot involved in moving your complete inventory from the dealership to an off-site sale.

“Obviously, when you’re involved with towables such as fifth wheels, toy haulers and trailers, they all require trucks in order to move them from one location to the other,” he said. “From trailer hitches to trucks and the brake controls that are needed, there is definitely a special set of requirements.

“For the process to be successful, there is a true level of dedication required to make everything work,” Figueroa said. “Fortunately for us, we have a great crew ranging from the sales personnel to the lot porters and service department employees.”

Findlay RV recently participated in an off-site sale at Fiesta Henderson.

“It went well,” Figueroa said. “We had several major dealers at the same location and the end result was that it was a success. You get a lot of serious buyers at events like this. We have especially seen many RV owners who simply want to see what’s available, while also finding out what their coaches are worth.”

Findlay RV has been at 4530 Boulder Highway for more than 30 years. It’s part of Findlay Automotive Group, which was founded more than 50 years ago by Pete Findlay, whose son, Cliff, now oversees new and preowned dealership in Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Idaho.

The dealership is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday. Service, parts and the body shop are open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The parts department is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Call 702-435-2500 or visit www.findlayrv.com for more information on the dealership.
