Have you ever wondered what happens when a professional athlete wants a jersey number that another player on the team currently has?
Usually it comes down to money, but two Tennessee Titans decided to arm-wrestle to see who gets the number.
According to NFL.com, quarterback Charlie Whitehurst, who signed with the team in March, found that the number he has worn for his first five seasons of his NFL career was in possession of Titan punter Brett Kern.
So they arm-wrestled for it and the punter won.
Yes, you read that right, the punter beat a quarterback in an arm-wrestle.
Whitehurst posted a photo of his new jersey number on Instagram with the caption, “Arm-wrestled the punter for #6 and lost #itwasagoodrun6 #13years.”
