In Case You Missed It: Stampeding rabbits run for the hills

I don’t know how I feel about a massive herd of rabbits.

Rabbits are typically cute and cuddly, but in a group maybe they fall into a violent gang mentality. I guess a large group of anything can be intimidating … even rabbits.

That’s why I have such conflicting feelings about this video of “stampeding” jackrabbits. A snowmobiler in Russia charges up from behind this group of bushy-tailed bandits, prompting them to dash away through the snow leaving thousands of little footprints behind.

At first it looks like they are simply running for their lives, but near the end of the clip the little guys line up side-by-side as though they are locking into attack formation.

I guess adding “Ride of the Valkyries” for dramatic effect is fitting.

Now let the great debate begin. Chasing animals, especially in their habitat, is a big no-no — ask some Montana snowboarders -- but is this a little harmless fun or too cruel for school?
