The excessive heat warning forecast earlier this week for Las Vegas and the surrounding area remains in effect until Sunday evening.

Temperatures Saturday are expected to peak at 111 degrees. Friday’s high reached a record 109 degrees.

Low winds of 5 to 9 mph are forecast for the weekend and will increase beginning Monday.
