Harmony to debut Aviano
Harmony Homes, a locally owned and operated builder, is celebrating the grand opening of Aviano in Henderson this weekend.
The gated community offers two floor plans, measuring 1,436 and 1,482 square feet, with prices starting at $129,990.
Standard features at Aviano include granite kitchen countertops, paver driveways and a community pool.
Both of Aviano's floor plans are two-story designs and have three bedrooms, 2½ baths and an upstairs laundry area. The open floor plans also include an upstairs loft. Robert Beville, president of Harmony Homes, said the community is "ideal for first-time buyers."
"In the past year, we've really seen the new-home market in Southern Nevada heat up. This tells us that buyers are not only feeling confident, but they realize that instead of going through the hassle involved with purchasing a used home, they can get the home of their dreams, brand-new, at a very affordable price," Beville said. "Savvy buyers will realize that this is the best price they're going to see for a new single-family, detached home in Southern Nevada, and prices and interest rates are only going to go up."
Beville expects the improving Southern Nevada housing market and buyers' increased interest in new homes to contribute to the success of Aviano.
Harmony Homes celebrated its best sales year ever in 2012, and Beville said several of its communities that were expected to have homes for sale into 2013 have already sold out.
"Currently, there is only about a five-week supply of used homes available in Southern Nevada, and buyers are finding that those homes are often foreclosures in poor condition, or short sale homes that don't include all of the great, modern features available in a new home," Beville said. "Buyers want to purchase a new home, because they want those amazing standard features like granite countertops and beautiful paver driveways. We're extremely excited to be able to offer buyers such a great value at a time when new-home inventory is in such high demand."
Additionally, Aviano's location will appeal to buyers, Beville said.
He added the community is "surrounded by amenities residents will care about and use," including schools, grocery stores, shopping, downtown Henderson and a hospital. Beville also noted that Aviano is only a five-minute drive from Lake Las Vegas and the Galleria at Sunset mall.
Later this spring, Harmony Homes is expected to celebrate the grand opening of the second phase of its Aspire community at Mountain's Edge, which will feature three floor plans from 2,973 to 4,160 square feet.
Harmony Homes executives expect to open a total of about eight new communities this year.
Aviano is located in Henderson at the intersection of Lake Mead Drive and Boulder Highway.
To visit, take either Interstate 95 south to Lake Mead Drive, or take the Las Vegas Beltway east to Lake Mead Drive. Go east on Lake Mead Drive through the intersection at Boulder Highway and turn left on Cholla Street. Aviano is on the left side of the street.
Harmony Homes has sold more than 1,200 homes since it was formed in Southern Nevada in late 2008. It offers 10 neighborhoods throughout Southern Nevada, with one- and two-story homes priced from the low $130,000s and ranging from 1,436 to 4,900 square feet.
It is also offering four new communities in Texas and two in Southern California.
Sales offices are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Monday, when they open at noon. For more information, call 702-685-2130, or visit www.harmonyhomes.com.
