Las Vegas Valley heating up through the weekend

Hot temperatures, light winds, dry air and clear skies will be the norm in the Las Vegas Valley through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday saw a high of 107 degrees, and the overnight low into Thursday is expected to be 82 degrees, according to meteorologist Andy Gorelow.

Thursday will warm up slightly with a high of 108 degrees, and Friday will be the hottest day of the week with a high of 109 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday promise highs of 107 degrees and 106 degrees, respectively, which are pretty close to normal temperatures for this time of year, according to the weather service.

Mount Charleston’s high temperatures are more than 20 degrees cooler than the valley with highs in the low 80s, according to the weather service.
