Man shot after domestic disturbance in northeast Las Vegas

A man was shot after a domestic-related disturbance Tuesday night in the northeast valley.

It’s unclear what the domestic disturbance was, but the 6:45 p.m. shooting happened soon after the altercation at 4244 Las Vegas Boulevard North, near Nellis Boulevard, according to Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Laura Meltzer.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

It was unclear Tuesday night if the shooter was in a relationship with the man, living with the man or related to the man, all of which fall under the domestic-related umbrella.

Two people were initially detained after the shooting, and as of 9 p.m., Metro Lt. Jon Liberty said at least one suspect had been arrested.
