A reckless driver took off from a traffic officer, blew through a red light and hit five vehicles Friday night in the southeast valley.
The multi-car wreck happened after 10 p.m. near the intersection of Boulder Highway and Lamb Boulevard, Metro Lt. Charles Jenkins said. After the wreck, the driver got out of his vehicle and ran away but was soon apprehended.
No injuries were reported after the wreck.
Though the driver was in custody, it was unclear Friday night what charges he may face. It was also unclear whether either drugs or alcohol was a factor.
