Las Vegas police are investigating a crash in the west valley Tuesday afternoon that sent a woman to the hospital.

Just after 4:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of North Decatur Boulevard and West Washington Avenue, Metro Lt. John Liberty said. A woman was taken to University Medical Center, he said.

It was unclear how many vehicles were involved as of Tuesday night. It was also unclear what caused the crash.
