Pedestrian struck by cab dies at hospital

A pedestrian who was in critical condition after being struck by a Checker Cab Monday morning died the same day, Las Vegas police said.

Oscar Camara-Castillo, 22, of Las Vegas, died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said.

Camara-Castillo was not in a crosswalk about 2 a.m. when he was hit by a 2013 Toyota Scion near Boulder Highway and Russell Road, police said.

The cab driver suffered minor injuries and remained in the scene, police said.
