‘Prom’ dress-up for kids raises money for March of Dimes — PHOTOS

Two Gymboree locations in Las Vegas are helping raise money for the March of Dimes with a “Parachute Prom in Paris” — for babies.

At the Henderson location’s event on Friday, parents paid $15 per child to take part, and children as young as 11 months dressed the part. Gowns, tuxes and tails, cumberbuns and tiaras were a little less than formal as they played on slides and watched bubbles float in the room.

The day was divided to match children to others close in age.

In a news release, Gymboree Play & Music franchise owner Rachelle Birnbaum said the company looked forward to continued collaboration with the March of Dimes. “It was important for us to not only put on an amazing event for our Gymboree families, but also raise money for a great cause,” she said.

The Las Vegas location at 7550 West Lake Mead Ave. will host its event on Saturday.
