Coronado’s boys golf shot a two-day total of 23-over-par 599 as a team to win the Class 4A state golf tournament at Reflection Bay Golf Club on Tuesday. It was the Cougars’ first title since 2012, and Coronado players celebrated by jumping into Lake Las Vegas.
Entering the day eight strokes back of the leader, Faith Lutheran senior Sydney Smith shot 7-under-par 65 Tuesday to finish 2-under-par 142 for the tournament and win the Class 4A state title at Highland Falls.
