Behind the doors of an unremarkable building in an older part of town, there is a woman who has given birth more than 1,000 times, a man who regularly fakes post-traumatic stress disorder and a storage room with stacks of babies. It’s just another day at the office for the staff of the Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas.
By engaging the children with hands-on activities, instructor Bonnie Kulwin teaches students about health and kitchen safety while they how learn to cook and bake through classes offered by the city of Henderson.
Brandon “The Havoc” Harris is an undefeated professional boxer. “I came up with the name myself because I destroy everything that gets in front of me when I’m fighting,” he said. Outside the ring he’s “the nicest guy … always laughing and cracking jokes.” He shares the art of boxing at the Henderson Multigenerational Center.
