Cold second-half shooting was too much for the UNLV women’s basketball team to overcome Saturday night in a 93-84 loss to Southern Utah in Cedar City, Utah.
Rashad Vaughn scored 18 points and had plenty of help as UNLV defeated South Dakota 75-61 before an energized sellout crowd of 3,250 at the Sanford Pentagon.
Rashad Vaughn scored 18 points, and freshman Patrick McCaw made big plays to help the Rebels run away with a 75-61 victory over South Dakota before a lively sellout crowd of 3,250 at the Sanford Pentagon on Saturday night. McCaw totaled 12 points, four steals and four rebounds.
The Rebels are 3.5-point favorites when they travel to Sioux City to face the Coyotes today at 5:00 p.m.
A game against a Summit League opponent with a 3-7 record on a somewhat neutral floor would not ordinarily be the type of spot to put UNLV on high alert.
