Cody Doolin’s layup with 0.4 seconds remaining in overtime lifted UNLV to a 75-73 victory over Portland at the Thomas & Mack Center on Wednesday night.
Rashad Vaughn was terrific and he did enough to keep UNLV in the game long enough to make the plays down the stretch to force overtime. Then, he stepped his game up in the extra session.
UNLV cut a late 16-point deficit to three with 33 seconds left, but Northwestern blocked Alana Cesarz’s potential game-tying 3-point attempt with seven seconds remaining and held on for an 88-84 victory over the Lady Rebels on Wednesday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The Rebels are 6-point favorites when they host Portland tonight at the Thomas & Mack. Tip is 7:30 p.m.
