Las Vegas Valley to get rain, mountains snow as Pacific storm invades

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning in Southern Nevada until 11 a.m. Monday for elevations above 6,000 feet, including the Spring Mountains and Sheep Range. For the valley, the forecast calls for a 100 percent chance of rain and south winds between 15-25 mph. Some parts of the valley could receive up to 1 inch of rain by Monday evening.

High-profile drug case prosecutor Schubert arrested on cocaine charge

A Clark County prosecutor assigned to Las Vegas’ most high-profile drug cases was arrested Saturday after police allege he bought crack cocaine from a street dealer. David Charles Schubert, 47, was arrested Saturday and booked on a possession of cocaine charge, according to jail records.
