Woman dies in fall while hiking Calico Basin

A woman fell to her death in the Calico Basin Friday night. The woman, about 50 years old, was hiking with a group of people and fell 35 to 40 feet on Calico Drive, around the Red Springs picnic area of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, according to Metro supervisor Lt. John Mizusai.
