Las Vegas battled back from as many as 16 points down in the second half Tuesday but couldn’t find an answer for Trevin Knell and lost 69-58 to Woods Cross (Utah) in the third-place game of the Eastbay Division at Bishop Gorman.
Bishop Gorman put together an impressive second-half rally before finally falling to Oklahoma’s Putnam City West 66-64 in the Tarkanian Classic’s Diamond Division third-place game at Durango.
Bishop Gorman saw a nine-point lead fizzle away in the final 4:43 of regulation and went on to lose 86-79 in overtime to nationally ranked Mater Dei (California) in the semifinals of the Tarknanian Classic’s Platinum Division.
