Henderson OKs $500K donation toward college building

The Henderson City Council on Tuesday provided the College of Southern Nevada Foundation a major piece of funding for a health and sciences building.

Foothill students get close-up look at desired careers

Under Foothill High School’s job shadowing program, 50 seniors are connected with companies that fit their job interests. Locations include the Henderson Police Department, veterinary clinics and salons.

Julia Bush, a counselor at Henderson’s Burkholder Middle School, was honored by the American School Counselor Association on Feb. 1 in Washington, D.C., as the 2019 Nevada school counselor of the year.
