Bally Technologies acquires small slot machine company

Bally Technologies has taken a page from the playbook of gambling equipment rival International Game Technology.

Bally announced Wednesday it had acquired a small Scottsdale, Ariz.-based game manufacturer to beef up its slot machine content and give the company another development base.

Games4you is made up of former employees of Atronic Americas and Atronic International, who formed the business after Lottomatica Group acquired the companies.

Like IGT, which acquired Silicon Gaming, Acres Gaming and Anchor Gaming to expand its business units, Bally’s will add the content from Games4you, which includes spinning-reel slot machines, video slot machines, video lottery machines and other gambling technology.

“Games4you’s proven experience in delivering cutting-edge games that delight players and drive revenue for casino operators will only strengthen Bally as a leading provider of creative and high-performing games,” Bally’s Chief Operating Officer Gavin Isaacs said in a statement.

The Games4you employees will now form the Scottsdale office for Bally, which operates game-development centers in the Silicon Valley; Southern California; Las Vegas, Reno, and India.
