Gaming attorney Bob Faiss honored by ‘Best Lawyers’
Peer review publication “Best Lawyers” named Bob Faiss as “Las Vegas Best Lawyers Gaming Lawyer of the Year” for 2011.
Faiss is a shareholder with Lionel Sawyer & Collins.
Only a single lawyer in each specialty in each community is being honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.”
Faiss is considered one of the world's foremost authorities on gaming law. The National Law Journal named him as the premier gaming attorney in the United States and one of the “100 Most Influential Lawyers in America.”
Faiss is the chairman of Lionel Sawyer & Collins' Gaming and Regulatory Law Department and is a member of the firm's executive committee. Faiss has represented the gaming industry in the Nevada State Legislature for the past 30 years.
Faiss’ career is the subject of “Gaming Regulation and Gaming Law in Nevada,” published in 2008 by the University of Nevada Oral History Program.
“Best Lawyers” compiles its lists of outstanding attorneys by conducting peer-review surveys in which lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers. The current 17th edition of “The Best Lawyers in America (2011)” is based on more than 3.1 million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers.
